Henry Taylor Open Day
We had a great time at Henry Taylor Tools’ Open Event. Thanks to Club members who went along to run a stall and to demonstrate. We had some interest from potential new members, so watch out for them at the Club!
Donation to Forget Me Not Trust
Every year we donate half of any profits made at Penistone and Honley Shows. This is the result of hard work by our members, who donate their work for our Tombola. Geoff took along a cheque and the Hospice was delighted to accept.
Visit from Rowen House Residents
Peter demonstrated Christmas Trees to residents of Rowen House, with whom Wendy works. They have been making Christmas decorations for their rooms. Wendy explains:
On the 1st December, residents from Rowen Court came to watch Peter demonstrating how we make Christmas trees. The adults are painting and decorating trees and snowmen that the club has donated to the Hollybank trust for adults with special needs. The visitors enjoyed the demonstration and ended the evening with high 5’s and thumbs ups. Thank you to Peter and Robert for volunteering to run the session.
Tutor Training
We now have five AWGB Approved Tutors. Dave Atkinson spent the day with us and Steven, Colin, Peter and Trevor join Rob in being fully fledged! Congratulations.
